in the moment memorial day weekend

This weekend I decided to just theoretically chuck my phone out the window and have an unplugged holiday weekend, and it was a blast. Its so nice not to have the feeling to check my phone and I could just enjoy the company of my family. I loved it. My family un-traditionally goes to St. George over memorial weekend. This weekend I felt like it was go, go, go. We woke up in the morning..okay morning is definitely a relative term, try like 9-10 o'clock...I think Jack liked the lazy mornings ;) anyway, we woke up to play pickle ball..and it was so fun. We were competitive and probably played 50 games throughout the whole weekend. Jack was definitely an MVP, he was always on the winning team which I think was fun for him. It also was a Sam, Haley and ZOE filled weekend!!! It was SOOO fun to see be all together with the whole fam.

On Friday we left late because we were celebrating Kiana's wedding and went to her reception..she is a college friend of mine, we met way back when the fam went on our Mediterranean cruise. Then we headed to my parent's house to pick up Drew...Drew took an extra long time getting back to the house after his date. We didn't leave until like 9:30...so it was def a long drive. BUT it did give us the opportunity to complete season 5 of SUITS, we were definitely committed haha

Pickle ball was incorporated with our Saturday and Monday...and a majority of Saturday was spent rock climbing with Jack, Kelsey and Drew. It was definitely scary to rock climb outside. It was my first time, I love doing things that scare me though! It makes me feel like I am growing. Me and Kels only did one wall and then we ditched the boys. We had a never ending tournament of monopoly deal afterward.

We had a nice Sunday..Jack started it by ripping his pants at church. In all seriousness, I was really sad that he ripped some nice pants but it was absolutely hilarious. We played Spongebob's "Ripped my Pants" in the car ride home. The Olsen's came over for breakfast and then we went to get Veyo Pie with them. It's fun to see our families hanging together :) We went and hung out with them on Sunday afternoon. Later, we rode our bikes to Sam and Haley's today..I was feeling real accomplished cause I hadn't ridden a bike in like 5 years.

Monday was obvi more pickle ball in the morning and then the boys went and played gold while the girls went shopping. We had lots of fun looking for maternity clothes for Haley and Kelsey....its so fun and not so fun to have them pregnant!!!! MORE CHILLENS!!!

Anyway, it was a party filled weekend...I love my cute families, its so fun to spend time with them. Jack was talking to me yesterday as I was looking at all the pictures we took and he said, "you know we were doing too much stuff to take any pictures." And he was totally right...sometimes unplugging is just what you need to feel a little rejuvenation to conquer our next adventure!
