Duck Creek

We spent a week with my family at Duck Creek at a big cabin. We spent lots of time playing games and enjoying a luxurious stay at an Airbnb up there...on our drive in we were thinking we were staying in the middle of no where and that rang true when we pulled up into the driveway--we were taken back with how beautiful the cabin was.

We had great food, Julie always goes all out for food--meatball subs, fish tacos, and breakfast galore. We were very impressed.

I think the best part for me was hanging out with my cute fam and playing games. I feel like we haven't spent a ton of time all together...so that always feels nice when we get to do that. Jack was glued to the pinball machine...they gave us a hefty stack of quarters for the week, I think Jack was a little embarrassed at how fast he went through the whole stack. We all had some competitive rounds of shuffle board as well.

I feel like I had a theme of what I was thinking for the week that really struck me when buddy and I were on a bike ride...as I was looking around at the family, baby zoe, my cute husband and the world flying past me on our bike ride I couldn't help but to think that life is and life goes by quick...I can't believe how fast time has gone by since we have gotten married, I am loving every second of it :)

At the end of the week we went and picked up Tom from the airport...that was a little intimidating. We were rushing to the airport so I don't know if I had a ton of time to think about what I was going to say or how the night would go...but it went by so fast and everything went well. I made a sign that Haley had made for me that said, "I have been waiting my entire life to meet you!" It was pretty funny. Again, life goes quick...I can't believe Tom came home, it seems like we had been talking about it for so long and the day finally came!

Blessed to be where I am right now in life :)

Some throwbacks from 4th of July...
