A regular week in the life of Jack and Abby
Our weeks have been feeling like a total grind and routine lately. Jack has been getting ready for interviews for Management Consulting and I have been getting prepped for my interview for the Respiratory Therapy program at the end of the month. We are both in a total waiting game...which can sometimes feel like the world is on our shoulders. I feel like I get really aware of all my insecurities and weaknesses during times like this...what if my GPA isn't enough, what if my interview skills aren't on point, what if my TEAS score wasn't high enough, what if, what if...With all that being said, it's also so exciting to be starting new chapters! Even if the chapters may have us jump a little more ahead or fall a little harder. It means we are growing :) College can sometimes look like a very long tunnel, so its nice to see spurts of the end and my life won't always be doing midnight assignments and cramming for tests.
We have had some fun weekends that help us get a break from a routine. We went to the Utah game and froze but I have the best cuddle buddy so that didn't bug me as much ;) We spent last weekend listening to conference. I love conference weekend...I think I probably should be doing more work to prep for conference but it's also nice to hear from inspired leaders that what I am doing IS enough instead of focusing on what I am lacking. We spent it at my house...Fall colors are in full swing and the weather is so dreamy. It makes me want to stay inside and cuddle up by our fire.
We have been celebrating some Halloween festivities. We were with Sav and Noah, and Sam and Annika just this last weekend carving pumpkins. It was good to see people that we totally LOVE. :) We went golfing with Jack's family...I had a pretty good day! My dad and grandma went with us and Jack's family. We had a party! Nothing but a good time. We finished up by hanging with Carleigh and Michael at Jack's house to watch the U game...when did my life become football games and golfing? I don't even recognize myself anymore. Jack and Kelsey had a baby, and we have been seeing him around and its been SO SO fun. I love little Cody.
Life is good. Jack and I are learning to be a team...I am learning to let the little things go. :) I think that is my mantra. It definitely is good for me to live with Jack. He teaches me a lot about myself.
Anyway, I love my regular weeks, the new chapters we are starting, and the breathers we get on the weekend :)
Yes Sam and Annika made a butt with a thong
Little Zoe with all of her pumpkins
Supporting my favorite charger lol
My Biology Lab group, love these guys. They make an afternoon class WORTH it.
