Christmas Traditions

We got out of school about a week or so ago and have been living our best life...well mostly I would say. We have had a fun time decorating the house with our live Christmas tree...I lost that battle for a fake one, hanging out with our family, skiing and snowboarding for me, and messy hair and video games for Jack.

I would say the only downside has been that I got fired from my job and Jack has had to work a lot more hours haha. The reason is that I had to switch my hours and my boss (Lisa) couldn't work with my new school schedule. But, basically Jack and I have concluded that if she really wanted to keep me, she would. I haven't asked her the specificities of why she was so unwavering in helping me out but I might find that out in the next 2 weeks before my last day. It honestly has been pretty rough for me. It has been a lot fo weird communication and rude people. I think I have been through a whirlwind of emotions, I have gotten lots of weird vibes the last week at work and it has been hard for me to figure out why Lisa doesn't like me or doesn't want to work with me. I would say my confidence has been a little bruised. Jack has been really awesome being there with me, a few nights this week I have been thinking myself to death about it and he has been a listening ear :)

I have been on a massive job search, I will see in the next few weeks or so if I am going to get a job in the mean time while waiting for a Respiratory Therapy Aide job. I finished up clinicals for that and should be getting my certificate soon. It is definitely hard to sit around and wait for Intermountain to post the jobs because it is something new they are implementing...I think I am used to GO GO GO, patience has never been my strong suit haha.

It's been fun to celebrate Christmas with our small little family. We have done our best to surprise each other of the gifts we are getting and I have loved decorating the house and making Christmas our own! :) I have been skiing a few times, I have been very impressed with the snow quality.

We have had family on family time this past weekend. Somehow, both of our families decided to jam everything in one weekend haha :) We decorated gingerbread houses on Friday night and Jack did awesome! It was really funny to see how much effort he put in last year vs. this year. On Saturday morning we went with Jack's fam to do the Dollar Tree shopping...we had a lot of fun this year. Afterward, we ate our weight in food at the Roof with my family and walked around Temple Square. Then all of the ladies went and saw the Nutcracker. I may or may not have fallen asleep during the first act....hahaha.

I think our biggest accomplishment of the break has been rewatching all of the Star Wars in preparation for the new one coming out that Jack has already seen twice and we will see with my fam on the 24th. I think another one would be me getting an A in Anatomy. I honestly am very proud of myself :) I think I have really helped myself realize that even if I fail, I can stick to my guns and be successful. Anyway, Christmas has gone by SO fast this year, we are excited for the next few days! :)
