23 and Me
I turned 23!!! My birthday was SO SO fun. I had a total blast. We played some pickle ball with our friends on the weekend and then a big birthday party with my fam on Sunday, and then we went out with Jack's fam a couple of days after. Very low key and very fun :) So...at the start of March the COVID-19 pandemic started and so a lot of our bigger plans got ruined because the quarantine started. That was definitely not as fun but it was good to just be surrounded by all the people I love.
We played pickle ball with friends and had some takeout Zupas because we couldn't go anywhere out to eat...We hung with Sam and Annika, Rhea and Mat, then Sav and Noah. We love them :)
On Sunday we had dinner with my fam. For a month or so I told Jack that I wanted golf clubs for my birthday. I said I don't really care about clothes or anything, I just wanted to have my own clubs. Then a week or so ago we were golfing with his family and I said something along the lines of, "I am so excited to get new clubs because then I won't have to borrow from other people anymore!" Jack kinda looked at me with a blank stare and said...babe, I don't remember you saying you wanted golf clubs and then continued on in a whole story to make me believe I wasn't getting golf clubs. I called my mom and dad, they both told me they didn't think I needed them but might buy me some if we could go shopping. All of the stores were closed all the way so I was kind of bugged that no one really was listening to me.
My birthday rolls around...and I was talking to Jack on the way to my parents house after seeing Will at the airport (he had to come home early because of the corona virus) and I said Jack I honestly don't want to seem down on my birthday at my parents house but I am so bummed about not getting any golf clubs. Dinner was yummy and I got a lot of thoughtful gifts. Then, Jack brings out this beautiful set of golf clubs haha. And I was so surprised!! I can't believe I fell for it! My birthday was excellent and I had a wonderful day turning 23...I can't believe how time flies.
