MY DUDE DID A THING
Jack graduated from college! He’s finished! We are so unbelievably excited that he is going to be making some big boy money within the next few months. We did a lot of celebration in the last few weeks of May for him. His family threw a party with all of their neighbors and friends, then my family through a party for all the graduates as well at hidden valley. It was super fun to get our family together. Things have been kinda weird with my family with the whole quarantining thing and so it was nice to normalize that a little bit more with getting together.
I think one of the funniest experiences we had in the midst of graduation was when my mom asked me to say a few things about Jack at the party...so I got up and told them his major and then I told a funny story of how he missed one of his finals because he overslept. And I honestly should have said something a little bit more heartfelt but it did make people laugh. Then Kels goes up and just shares this long list of accomplishments her husband did while in college. I felt so dumb and Jack just looked at me and shook his head.
So I thought I would take the time now to share some accomplishments he had:
-He was in a pretty new and innovative major that takes a dynamic approach on economics.
-He is going to be starting a full time analyist position at Cicero, a consulting firm, in August.
-He graduated with a 3.7
-He had an internship at the governors office with the economic department.
-He had the same job at Caption Call throughout college
-He was the VP of finance in the management consulting group. He bought a looooot of pizza.
-He was apart of the Goff program at the U that worked with different economic plans for certain non-profit organizations and companies. He spent a lot of long days/nights working on presentations and looking MIGHTY fine in a suit.
-We got engaged, bought our house, got married, and honeymooned in his senior year
-Honestly, he took time for me even though he had so much going the whole time.
I am so immensely proud of all of his accomplishments and excited for the life we are going to have together. :)
